Tourism in south Aveyron

In the heart of Grands Causses natural regional park, a stay or escape in the hotel-restaurant "Le Pont-Neuf" let you discover many famous places and also great unknown sites.

Saint-affricain area

Walk from Saint-Affrique will seduce you, green path going to "Saint Jean d’Alcapiès" village, Tiergues walk and his marvellous Caylus roc, the city tour who's illuminate for Christmas time !
From museums as puppet space, and Memory House, the cultural lovers will be happy, also with the less classical sites as "M.Debru" creations in Costes-Gozon area.

Roquefort caves a few kilometers away are waiting you. Visites and tasting are available for most of them, and free for some of them too. Ask for more informations. But already we recommand you the caves of "Le Vieux Berger" our main provider.

Millau area

From the traditionnal passage on or around the Viaduc, to the little touristic roads passing through the most beautiful villages of France (les plus beaux villages de France) like Peyre, 

We are a few kilometers from Millau, gloves capital city and many craftmen purpose you to discover their universe in their fabrics as Larzac Boul’vard, specialist of cutlery with their own brand « Le Couteau du Larzac » ; the Causse Gantier, specialist of gloves, they both purposed free visit.

Sorgues valley

Continue to follow the roads to discover the Sorgues valley, where an other fantastic fabric  welcome you, the "Sac du Berger". In Aveyron, there is a lot of medieval castle, and in this valleyr you can visit one of them  "le château de Latour-sur-Sorgues".

Larzac area

Enjoy the typical architecture of south Aveyron, "jasses", "lavognes", landscapes, templar city, and the field full of sheep and Aubrac cows.

Funny activity is waiting you, discover "le vélorail du Larzac", or visit Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon or the Viala-du-Pas-de-Jaux, two great commanderies!  Many reasons to choose l’Aveyron !

Rougier place

Magical places, sometimes unknown will astonished you, as the orthodox russian church of Sylvanès, near the famous l'Abbaye, known for his festival of world and sacred music during summer time. 

In all seasons, Aveyron will seduce you by the wonderful landscapes, as the incredible "Rougier de Camarès".

Muse and Raspes valley

A few kilometers from Saint-Affrique comes to light the shores of Tarn valley. Perfect place to have fresh air during summer, enjoying canoë on the Tarn or simples swimming bath in the river.

The guinguette is one of the landmarks of the small village of Saint-Rome-de-Tarn, with a supervised beach and canoes and pedalos for hire.
